DESCRIPTION:ABSTRACT DRAFT\nThe course-workshop will follow the format of the one presented in 2020 where a morning session will describe and have demonstrated the mechanics and techniques of fly tying\, the design of fly patterns and fly tying materials. The afternoon session will be devoted to the mechanics and technique required for casting a fly rod which will be performed during a session on the lawn in front of the club house. Both the fly tying session and the fly rod casting session will first involve the review of descriptions contained in a set of illustrated PowerPoint slides and will then be followed by hands-on sessions for fly tying and casting a fly rod that will be supplemented by personalized instruction. The amount of time devoted to each topic can easily be adjusted during the workshop to meet the needs of those members in attendance.
