Despite the April 1 weather conditions, Norco, National Wild Turkey Federation, and MA Wildlife instructors and volunteers delivered a successful Turkey Hunting workshop to a room full of youth hunters. Students learned about the many fine points for safe turkey hunting, turkey calling techniques, and patterning a shotgun. Youth hunters will pair-up with mentors later this month for the state dedicated youth turkey day hunt on Saturday April 22 . Pictures from the workshop are posted here.
