The weather was perfect for this year’s Youth Pheasant Hunt Day. The day started off with a hearty breakfast and finished with burgers, dogs, and homemade treats.
All the fun happened in-between…..releasing the birds into the fields, getting the gear on, gear check-out, grab a handful of shells, load-up and let the dogs work the fields. Most hunters bagged a pheasant and were taught field dressing. Several youth hunters have opted for the late season taxidermy class and sent their birds off with the taxidermist for an end of season project.
