Norco second fishing derby of the year was challenged again by mother nature giving us rain (in April, it was snow).
However, if you are a sportsman/woman, you prepare for the worst and enjoy the day regardless of sun, rain, snow, mud
8 youth and 3 adults fished for the derby
All the rainbows caught were 10″ to 14″ and brookies 8″-9″
Prize winners had choices of rod/reel, tackle box, and ice fishing tippets
Every youth had a trip to the lure table
Fishing is now open everyday dawn to dusk, 3 fish creel, good luck.
Black flies are out now in May and we’ll move into June mosquito season – bring some bug spray or a face net
Photos are below (thanyou Tina for snapping them all day)
