Despite the frigid and unexpected polar blast of winter weather – close to 200 parents, youth, and volunteers all converged on Norco on March 4th for a fun day of making bird houses, walking sticks, shooting archery, learning about MA Wildlife youth education programs, meeting new friends, winning prizes from a number of sponsors, and having a warm bite to eat. Pictures are worth a 1000 words, so click here to reminisce or see what you missed! Big thanks to volunteers from WCLSC, Norco, Mohegan Council Boy Scouts, and many sponsors. Many big smiles were worn all day long! And no one went home on an empty stomach. With spring and summer weather just around the corner, everyone’s hard work will payoff soon with returning birds and ducks having new homes, and with many feet hitting the trails with their walking sticks looking for animal tracks and wildlife to identify.
