Over a 70 visitors and volunteers converged for a winter break for a range of fun and educational activities including making a bird or a bat house, making a walking stick, making a fishing lure, making a fun turkey call, making a bird seed treat, learning archery skills and learning spin-casting skills. Many kids can’t wait to get their lure in the water and take their next hike. Drawings were held throughout the day, where 30 winners had a choice of sponsor provided prizes including fishing rod/reel, how to books, gift cards to McDonalds, gift cards to Dairy Queen, first aid kit, GOAL hats and cups, and dog grooming services. Many local sponsors provided items including food and materials to augment the projects and lunch for everyone.
