Many thanks for the volunteers throughout August and September to make the 2023 program memorable and successful.
- 16 youth participants learned how to handle a shotgun with confidence and accuracy
- many mentors took their youth out with their experienced hunting dog to find the >40 pheasant and chukkar
- almost everyone had a bird to take home or place into the winter 2024 pheasant taxidermy program
- everyone had a plentiful breakfast and lunch on hunt day
Thanks for the parents of the youth hunters for their dedication of time, transportation, and gear to make the youth get off to a great lifetime of pursuing the outdoors.
Enjoy the rest of the season at Norco and around the state. Norco stocks pheasants every Saturday from mid-October to the end of November with a breakfast and lunch program. Our grounds are open to hunting, regardless of being a member. Reminder for the season, one must now purchase a Pheasant Stamp in addition to the regular hunting license, and there is extended pheasant hunting (no stocking) for the second half of December after the deer shotgun season. https://massfishhunt.mass.gov/
